| Court rejects bail in NDPS Case | | |

Jammu, June 16: Duty Magistrate Samba Kamiya Singh Andotra rejected the bail application Rohit Singh who was allegedly involved in NDPS Case.
Prosecuting officer Tanveer Ahmed Khatan opposed the application on the grounds that the accused person is involved in commission of offence u/S. 8/15 NDPS Act. The applicant is narcotic smuggler and has adopted trade of smuggling of drugs and selling the same to people/youth making them addicted and spoiling their lives. The accused/ applicant was arrested on 1106.2018 by the concerned Police Station and recovered 400 gms of Poppy Straw (Bhuki) which he has brought for sale which is adversely affecting the society and does not deserve any leniency.
Duty Magistrate Samba Kamiya Singh Andotra observed that the allegations levelled against the accused are grave in nature as such no leniency can be allowed at this pre mature stage and if bail is granted to the accused he may get an encouragement to repeat the offences, the accused may temper the prosecution evidence and may jump over the bail. More so the accused who is involved in heinous act does not deserve concession of bail from the Court. With these observations Court rejected the bail application. |
