Doda, June 21: A case under FIR No. 17/2018 under section 5(1) (d) r/w 5(2) J&K P.C Act Svt. 2006 and 120-B, 420 RPC was registered in P/S VOJ against Sh. Imtiyaz Ahmed, Head Clerk and Riyaz Ahmed, Class-IV employee posted in Mechanical Division Khellani District Doda on the basis of a verification conducted into a complainant forwarded by the Court of Ld. Special Judge Anti-Corruption (Addl. District and session Judge) Doda.
The complain was lodged by one Abdul Karim against officers/officials of Mechanical Engineering wing, Khellani District Doda to look inter-alia into the allegations that the above mentioned public servants took bribe of Rs.40,000/- from the complainant at the time of his appointment and also used to take Rs. 2150/- every month from the salary of the complainant. Verification conducted revealed that the complainant Abdul Karim was engaged as casual labourer on 01.11.2014 by then Executive Engineer Mechanical Division Khellani, Doda on the recommendation of then Minister Roads & Buildings. It came to fore that Imtiyaz Ahmed the then Head clerk Mechanical Division Doda & Riyaz Ahmed, Class IV employee Mechanical Division Doda on account of getting Abdul Karim regularized demanded and accepted amount of Rs. 40,000/- and 20,000/- respectively from him (Complainant) in presence of Narian Dass S/O Shadi Lal R/O Prabble Tehsil Marmat District Doda which Abdul Karim barrowed from Wali Mohd S/O Mohd Abdulah Malik R/O Bharth District Doda on two occasion viz Rs. 40,000/- on 03.03.2016 and Rs. 20,000/- on 21.03.2016. Thus by acting in this manner Imtiyaz Ahmed & Riyaz Ahmed under a well knit conspiracy with each other by illegal means and by abuse of their official positions demanded and accepted Rs. 40,000/- and Rs. 20,000/- respectively from Abdul Karim (Complainant). The investigation of the case has been taken-up.
