jammu, June 22: An Officer deployed with former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, reportedly got his man adjusted as Director RDD Jammu to flourish business of his close relative, prior to fall of BJP-PDP government state.
Sources in former CM's office informed Early Times that the officer's relative owned manufacturing units in industrial area in Bari Brahmana and has been supplying various items in Rural Development Department.
They further said that that former Director RDD Jammu was made scapegoat for not falling in line by the officer.
"The officer, using his connections in Chief Minister Office (CMO) had pressurised former director RDD to give maximum supply order to his relative, but he didn't succumb", they said and added that former RDD Minister, had also lambasted the officer for his 'unethical' intervention in the department, that too beyond his domain.
"Even the then RDD Minister, was not aware about the posting of Mohd Mumtaz Ali, as Director RDD Jammu", sources said. "His relative has been supplying material in department, but the officer was adamant to monopolies entire supplies network of department, that too on his own terms and conditions", they said.
They said that posting of Mohd Mumtaz Ali as Director RDD Jammu, was political transfer, General Administration Department (GAD) has started to identify such transfers and same would be terminated. |
