JAMMU, June 24: Things in the now out-of-power PDP are heating up. Blame-game has started. The disgruntled have started coming out in the open to settle scores. Those who could become part of the Mehbooba Mufti Government are using the collapse of her government as an opportunity to express their pent up feelings.
That things have assumed a dangerous proportion could be seen from the fact that founder member of the PDP and former J&K Government spokesperson and Cabinet Minister Naem Akhtar has directly held former CM Mehbooba Mufti responsible for broad day light murder of "controversial" editor of the Kashmir-based Rising Kashmir.
She is responsible for the murder of Sujaat Bukhari, as she held the Home portfolio or the Home Department, he said, adding that if anyone is responsible for the murder of Sujaat Bukari, it is they who held the Home portfolio.
Naeem Akhtar's blistering attack came after former IB chief AS Dulat claimed that Sujaat Bukhari had demanded more security fearing danger to his life, but he was not provided with fool proof security.
If the rot is not stemmed immediately, the PDP could split.
In the meantime, Mehbooba Mufti has made a very significant revelation. She has said Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had approved the Agenda of Alliance. |
