Doda, July 15: Team work helped ANK Warriors Bhaderwah to thrash Eswar Cricket Academy (ECA) Chennai team by a big margin of 77 runs in the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2018 being played at Sports Stadium Doda here today.
The tournament is being organized by Young Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda and J&K Bank.
Winning the toss and batting first, ANK Warriors Bhaderwah scored a decent total of 166 runs in alloted 20 overs game for the loss of 07 wickets. Touseef Malik was the top scorer with 46 runs while Arif Rather contributed valuable 34 runs for his team.
For ECA Chennai, R Aravind and R Ranjith Kumar shared 02 wickets each.
In reply, Eswar Cricket Academy Chennai bundled out for just 89 runs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 77 runs in 16.5 overs. R Ranjith Kumar top scored with 31 runs while G V Tamilarasan contributed 23 runs to the total. For ANK Warriors Bhaderwah, Majid Mir scalped 03 wickets while Waseem Ganai, Arif Rather and Touseef Malik picked 02 wickets each.
Later on, Touseef Malik of ANK Warriors Bhaderwah was declared as Man of the Match for his superb all round performance that was given prize by DHO Dr Tariq Masood in presence of Javed Ahmed Zargar. The match was officiated by Ifroz Rather and Harish Raza as Umpires while Sandeep Kaushik acted as Scorer.
