| Forest encroachments continue, DFO in slumber | | | Early Times Report
Sunderbani, Aug 2: The unabated encroachments on the forest land in tehsil Sunderbani seem likely not to stop after Governor N N Vohra's directions to clear all the encroachments on the forest areas. Already , it has been reported in Early Times that Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) , Nowshera despite being made aware of such felonies being committed under the nose of the administration has failed to take the cognizance, the new encroachments are taking place unabated .
Whenever it was raken up with the DFO, it is learnt that instead of taking any strict action, he turns nelson's eye to the crime while some are quite sure that DFO is equally involved in the perpetrators of the crime and also beneficiary to the booty taken by them.
In the recent forest encroachments, another 500 kaals have gone into the illegal occupation of the mafia .
The DFO is also alleged to be involved in the crime and is being a beneficiary.
The people of the area have appealed to the Governor to take cognizance of the matter and also initiate a vigilance enquiry against the DFO so that his misdeeds are made public. |
