Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 2: Despite orders issued by the Divisional Sports Officer (J) J&K State Sports Council Jammu debarring the private coaches from taking classes at skating rink at Indoor Sports Complex, private coaches are still taking classes in the stadium premises.
"As per the directions of Secretary, J&K State Sports Council and decision taken by committee headed by Joint secretary (J), J&K State Sports Council, you are hereby directed to stop taking classes at skating rink at Indoor Sports Complex till further order", reads the order issued by the Divisional Sports Officer (J).
However, after issuance of orders to stop taking classes at skating rink at Indoor Sports Complex, the private coaches are still indulged in the private practise to the budding players in lieu of selling sports items to the players.
If sources are to be believed, after news item titled 'Government infrastructure at disposal of private coaches, JKSSC officials hand-in-gloves' in the edition of July 30, authorities summoned the self styled coaches in the office where they (private coaches) confessed that they are being selling sports items to the players following which the authorities issued an order debarring them from taking classes of the skaters.
It is pertinent to mention here that parents of the budding skaters accused couple of private coaches at J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC) owned Skating Rink at MA Stadium, Jammu of monopolizing the infrastructure and are harassing skaters.
"Coaches need to motivate athletes and establish the right conditions for learning. Effective coaches have many skills. They should, for instance, be good communicators and have a working knowledge of the learning processes, and of the teaching methods, training principles, and assessment procedures associated with their sport", they asserted.
"Private coaches are making fool of the budding skaters", alleged parents of skaters adding that they are charging hefty amounts from skaters for sports items without any official orders for selling sports items in the government building.
