Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 2: A video clip circulated on social networking sites has exposed the pathetic condition of Sub Division Hospital Taryath, which as per the video is short of essential medicines and other items, besides the office was found closed till afternoon.
According to the video clip, which is in possession of Early Times, the office of the hospital was found closed till 12 o clock. The Health and Medical Education department has reportedly sanctioned 10 beds for the hospital but in the video only five were found in the hospitals that too in pathetic condition.
The fate of remaining five beds is best known to the authorities concerned.
"The hospital is facing acute dearth of medicines, patients have to bring medicines from open market. Even Syringes, medikits are to be purchased by patients from outside the hospital despite the fact that all these items are available in the government hospitals", the video clip claimed.
One of the staff member of the hospital, in this video, is found saying that the department has given funds for purchase of such items but where these items have gone, only god knew better. She has also alleged that the senior staff members of the hospital misbehaved with junior staff.
As per video, one of the attendant said that a junior pharmacist, someone named as "Madan Babu" who is allegedly the boss of the hospital, has strong connections with block as well as district health officials. "If anyone wants to complain against him to BMO or CMO, the officials refused to take any action against this Madan Babu, who has been staying here for the last over 20 years", the attendant alleged in the video.
The attendant further alleged that even during working hours, the Madan Babu has closed the office as well as Medical Store and is busy partying with a senior most revenue official of Taryath. All district health officials are hand in glove with the Madan and there is no possibility of any action against his misdeeds except by Deputy Commissioner, the attendant said.
They further alleged that the SDH Taryath has become a hub of business for these officials and Pharmacist. In this video the patient attendant demanded first aid facilities as well as action against Madan Babu.
