DC snubs KAS officer over dress code

JAMMU, Aug 2: A Deputy Commissioner of a District in Jammu Division today snubbed a Junior KAS Officer during an official meeting over improper dress code.

As per the details available with Early Times, the said Deputy Commissioner today called the review meeting of the department to which the said KAS officer belonged to. The DC trained his guns on him over the non performance as well as over his dress code for wearing sleeve less T-Shirt.

The Deputy Commissioner also take strong note of the officer sitting with crossed legs in front of him besides wearing sun glasses during his visit in the area of the said KAS Officer for public Darbar few weeks ago. He not only snubbed him, but also used some derogatory words against him that sent shocking waves in the meeting hall.

Sources said that the Deputy Commissioner also took on other KAS officers and advised them to maintain decorum while sitting in front him. The senior officer present in the meeting though tried to prevent them from further embarrassment, but till then it was late as the damage had already been done as more than 150 employees were present in the meeting at the time of the incident.

Sources said that this is not the first occasion when this Deputy Commissioner has taken on employees and many a times becomes rude not only to employees, but also to the public as a result of which several protests were held against him during last one year of his tenure as Deputy Commissioner of the District.

Sources said that there was great resentment among the employees and public of the area who are now pinning hope on Governor N N Vohra for action against this erring officer.
