| Farmers protest against PDD at Nandpur | | | Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, Aug 3: The farmers of village Nandpur continued their protest against the Power Development Department (PDD) for the unscheduled power cuts and low voltage in the area.
Protesting farmers said that several times the people made a request to the officers of department while a deputation in this regard also met DC Samba but till date the power scenario has not changed.
A large number of farmers of villages Nandpur and its adjoining areas assembled at Nandpur Power House. They alleged that the authorities are making false promises with them with regard to improving the electricity supply. They said that an eight hours cut is already imposed in their villages but despite that the department continue to make unscheduled power cuts due to which they are unable to run water pumps in their fields. |
