| Kisan Welfare Organisation launches membership drive | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 5: Kisan Welfare Organisation, a Farmers rights organisation launched a massive membership drive on Sunday at Arnia sector of Jammu and Kashmir in the presence of Rohit Choudhary, National President Kisan Welfare Organisation and Sarpanch Raghvir Singh In-Charge Tehsil Arnia.
Farmers from different villages of Arnia sector attended the function in large number.
The National President and other members of the Organisation addressed the farmers and requested them to enrol themselves as member of Kisan Welfare Organisation.
Rohit Choudhary, National President Kisan Welfare Organisation said that the KWO is the frontal organisation with the objective of doing social work and fighting for the rights of farmers.
Farmers put forth their long pending demands including free water and electricity supply for irrigation purpose, compensation for lands used for government purpose and treatment of snake bite at Tehsil level hospitals.
He also advocated the farmers to join the Kisan Welfare Organisation in large number and propagate the ideas and programmes of Kisan Welfare Organisation amongst the farmers at grassroot level. |
