Jammu, Aug 5: Former Deputy Chief Minister and MLA Gandhi Nagar Kavinder Gupta formally launched J&K's first and only business magazine 'Vibrant Corporate' in an impressive function cum Sufi concert held at Teacher Bhawan, here. The occasion also marked Pushtah Advertising Agency's 10 years celebration of INS accreditation.
Eminent artist and sculptor, Flt Lt Gobind Singh Rana (Retd) was the guest of honour. Sonika Malhotra, Editor Vibrant Corporate; and Rakesh Chander Kumar, CEO of Pushtah Advertising Agency were also present on the occasion. The newly launched magazine is promoted by Pushtah Group.
The welcome address was presented by Antra Kumar. She also threw light on the journey of Pushtah Group, comprising of Advertising Agency, English daily Hello Jammu and magazine Vibrant Corporate.
Addressing the function, the chief guest congratulated the Editor of magazine for coming up with the project that would help the business houses of Jammu and Kashmir to highlight their achievements as well as problems.
"There is lot of potential for commercial activities in our state but due to cycle of violence in Kashmir and other related factors, the pace is very slow. And, under such circumstances role of media becomes very critical," the chief guest added.
Also speaking, the guest of honour laid stress on meaningful and fair reporting of facts for the overall development of the society. He emphasized on objectivity of Journalism and cautioned against subjectivity. He said that it was the duty of every citizen of India to contribute towards the development of nation. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Editor of the magazine. |
