Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Aug 5: A complaint of alleged harassment has been district filed against the Incharge Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO), Kishtwar by the veterinary doctors posted in the district. Consequent upon receipt of the complaint, the state government formed a probe committee headed by Dr PR Bharti, Chairman Enquiry Committee.
Joint Director (JD) Farms Jammu will begin its probe from tomorrow and has summoned the eight doctors viz Dr Arif Shah (VAS TU Kishtwar), Dr Shakir Bhat (VAS VD Bhadat), Dr Azaz Asger (VAS SU Atholi), Dr Rajan Sharma (VAS Sigdi), Dr Mubasser (VAS CAHO/Lab), Dr Indu Bushan (VAS VD Massu), Dr Muneeb (VAS Kuntwara) and Dr Naseer (VAS Chingam) and has asked them to remain present before the committee tomorrow at 2 PM. All the veterinary doctors have further been asked to produce any official document/evidence/witness on the same date in support of the complaint which was filed by the J&K Veterinary Doctors Association on behalf of the aggrieved doctors against one Dr Sanjay Kumar Sen I/C CAHO Kishtwar for harassment and intimidation of doctors. The inquiry was ordered by the government vide letter No ASH/AH/G/40/2015, dated 16-07-2018 issued by Under Secretary to the Government, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department.
In its complaint addressed to the Director Animal Husbandry Jammu, the aggrieved doctors had raised serious allegations against the IC CAHO Kishtwar. They said that there is no system for receipt of letters as the CAHO has directed his staff in the office to take the letters only when he marked them making it unilateral system which is not followed in any other system. The aggrieved doctors alleged that they are not getting their salaries in time and most of the time they get their salaries only after 15th of the month or at the end of the month which is adversely affecting them.
Speaking to "Early Times" the aggrieved doctors alleged that the I/C CAHO Kishtwar is very rude to them and did not treat them well while on or off duty adding that after getting failure from various quarters, they left with no other option other than to approach the Association for getting them out of the clutches of the incumbent officer who according to them is very much junior in the state and is not eligible for the post of I/C CAHO.
