MENDHAR, Aug 5: The street lights in Surankote Town are lying defunct and local Municipal Committee failed to repair the thereby further increasing the woes of locals.
Maximum of the street lights became defunct soon after installation.
Unfortunately, the street lights were not repaired since then, said Akash Malik a social worker . The residents of several other areas also said that the streetlights in their areas are lying defunct from past several months. it is irony that important road of Byepass, bus stand main bazar to TCP chowk and imam bargah chowk is without /defunct street lights, the road wears a deserted look during evenings resulting in people avoiding this road for travel, Waseem Peer a local resident said |
