Reasi, Aug 7: A Selection Grade Constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) posted in District Police Lines (DPL) Reasi was arrested for murderous attack on munshi and firing three shots with his service weapon, this afternoon.
"Selection Grade Constable Uttam Singh posted at DPL Reasi fired three shots in air with his service weapon after he had verbal arguments with munshi of the DPL at around 12 noon", said a police official adding that the cop has been placed under suspension.
Taking serious view of the indiscipline exhibited by the delinquent official, DySP DAR Reasi placed him under suspension with immediate effect and signal was flashed to police station Reasi to register an FIR against him.
Police official further acting on the complaint, a case under FIR No. 146/17 under section 307 of RPC has been registered against Selection Grade Constable Uttam Singh and seized the service weapon. |
