Early Times Report

Kishtwar, Aug 8: As a part of State vide protest of Masters working as Head teachers was today held at Kishtwar outside the office complex of Chief Education Officer Kishtwar. As per the details available with Early Times, in this chain of protests, the agitating employees with one voice laid stress that all the masters of the state who were duly appointed by the SSRB and in a due course of time promoted by the department's promotional committees by varied orders of the education department, strongly condemn the attitude of the government towards the masters working as head teachers.
The angry head teachers said that through this protest, the masters want to remind to the Governor of the state that they were appointed as teachers way back in 1986,1987,1988,1990 by JKSSRB which clearly shows that their appointments has been made before the inception of SSA scheme.
"Some of the masters among us are at the verge of the retirement and now they are being denied from their legitimate rights of 7th pay commission. Even an ordinary person can understand this, but it is unfortunate to see that why the government is not taking a decision in this regard" said Rajesh Parihar.
He said that through this protest, they want to clear that before transferring to SSA schools, they were working in non plan schools and drawing their salaries as per routine added that if any government has done any gaffe; why should they be made sacrificial lambs for same.
"It is impressed upon the authorities to consider our case differently from that of the SSA teachers as we have never been appointed by the SSA" the teachers said added that in case the government fail to address the issue, they come on streets.
