Jammu, Aug 8: A woman was killed while 26 others injured in two separate road accidents in Reasi and Jammu districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
"A matador (JK20-5207) coming from Panassa towards Reasi this morning rolled down from the road near Radpull in Arnas area of Reasi," police here said.
They said that a lady identified as Lajwanti,55, wife of Ram Saroop, resident of Thub died in the spot in a mishap while 25 persons suffered injuries and shifted to district hospital Reasi from where they were referred to GMC Jammu.
Meanwhile in a separate incident, one PDD employee suffered serious injuries when a scooter, he was riding on was hit by a school bus on Wednesday afternoon near Bahu Plaza in Trikuta Nagar area.
"Injured man was shifted to the hospital by the passers by," said an eyewitness and slammed police for no timely action on the spot. |
