Early Times Report

UDHAMPUR, Aug 8: Week on, Dhar road continues to remain blocked near Kishanpur-Manwal. The road got blocked and damaged due to continuous rains, shooting stones and landslides.
The ill-maintenance of this road is quite evident from the fact that the rolling stones that blocked some part of the road are still not removed to allow smooth movement of traffic. Sachin Kumar-a daily commuter informed that though the road is formally complete yet stones over it are making movement difficult.
He further said that the authorities should remove the road block immediately. The drivers and transporters plying their vehicles on this road also are facing problems.
It is pertinent to mention here that in rainy season the problem of rolling and shooting stones is common in hilly areas and the authorities concerned mostly remain on their toes to clear the roads as the common public has to face a lot of problems due to such road blocks.
The affected people using the Dhar road have appealed to the Governor N.N Vohra to instruct the concerned authorities to do their job honestly and clear the road as soon as possible.
