Banihal, Aug 8: Locals of the town staged a protest in main town Banihal, against poor drainage system, which hampered the traffic movement on highway for some time. Protesters alleged that the drains along the highway were blocked due to rains which marks the question on the work of concerned department .
They said that no attention was paid by the Municipal department and highway maintanance agencies on the drainage system in the main market along the highway. They said that the rainy water flows on highway in the market which creates problems to locals to move in the market. Latter a team of munciplity comeette Banihal rushed to the spot and starts the cleaning work of drains and protesters allow the traffic to move on highway. |
