Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 8: The Central University of Jammu (CUJ) today organized an induction meet at its campus Bagla today for post graduate and under-graduate students. Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor CUJ, who was Chief Guest on the occasion, welcomed the new entrants. He informed the gathering of new students and the faculties that the University, which at present is offering 34 programmes which include 12 research programmes, 15 Post graduation programmes, four integrated programmes with exit option at honours level. The University also offers two vocational degree programmes and one diploma programme under the aegis of Community College. He asked the students to be evaluative for excelling in life. He further expressed his satisfaction over the efforts made by the faculty members. The Vice Chancellor also distributed induction kit to new entrants in various programme. Earlier, Prof. Deepak Pathania, DSW, formally welcomed the august gathering, Prof Deepshikha Kotwal, Dean School of Languages, Prof N K Tripathi Dean School of Life Sciences, Prof Govind Singh Dean School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Zafar from Centre for Comparative Religions and Dr Ravi Kumar Registrar, CUJ addressed the students. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Dharmendra Singh, while Dr Bachha Babu and Dr Samantha Vainshavi hosted proceeding of the programme. During the induction programme, children from Kendriya Vidyalaya Central University of Jammu and JK Culture Academy presented cultural events. |
