| JSS organizes quiz competition on oil conservation | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 8: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu held a quiz competition in collaboration with Petroleum Conservation Research Association under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Govt. of India to make oil conservation a National Movement.
This is not for the first time that we have initiated this movement for the conservation but every year we make the same endeavor to create mass awareness about the management. As a part of its mandate our Sanskritians of class 8th, 9th and 10th have participated in "Online Quiz Competition." This competition intended to sensitize the children about the conservation of petroleum products and environment protection. The competition was conducted in our school only under the guidance of our computer teacher Tania Sawhney who ensured that maximum children should participate with zeal and opt for the quiz. The children who are so much techno savvy faced no difficulty in opting for the online quiz competition which had questions pertaining to Fuel Conservation, Environment, General Studies etc. The children prepared themselves in advance and came to know about the petroleum products and how can we save them from getting depleted. The performance of the children was beyond expectation as two of our Sanskritians namely Vasu Anand of Class 10th and Venus of Class 9th has qualified the competition. We at Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu postulate in making our children environment friendly and acknowledging them about the worth of our non-renewal source of energy. Sanskritians always believe in igniting the spark and then maintaining that ignition in one form or other. |
