Jammu, Aug 8: Delhi Public School Nagbani, Jammu-(West) today announced the commencement of weeklong 'Independence Day' celebrations.
Today a special assembly was organized on the theme 'Go Green' in which the students were told about the benefits of trees and how they can also contribute to keep this environment alive. This initiative is all about helping to create a campus with culture of conservation as it is not enough to prepare the students for the future; we have to prepare the future for them also.
The Principal of the school R. K. Verma said that only making the inside of our houses beautiful is not enough. We have to join hands to make our area clean and green by taking utmost care of our environment. By celebrating this 'Independence Day' week with different activities related to environment, schools across the country can also have a profound impact both by saving precious resources and by teaching students how to save environment for lifetime. |
