IMS conducts induction programme of BBA, BCA Students

JAMMU, Aug 9: A three day induction programme was organized for the first year students of BBA & BCA Course at Institute of Management Sciences, Jammu from 7th to 9th August, 2018.
Concluding the programme, Dr. Rekha Gupta, Director explained the importance of soft-skill in personality development of students and the learning process of acquiring knowledge and skills from the life experiences of renowned leaders, philosophers and eminent teachers. The Induction Programme was divided in three to four sessions per day and each session was conducted by subject experts.
Prof. S.K. Gupta, IMS apprised the students with the rules and regulations for maintenance of discipline in the college and the measures being taken by the institute against the practices of ragging etc. so ensure ragging free environment in the campus. A lively interaction on "Time Management" was conducted by Anil Suri, renowned Industrialist of the town. Gourav Chib, Director TCS, Regional Office, Jammu extensively highlighted the career path in IT Sector particularly in TCS. Ravi Kant Gupta, Yoga Expert, gave useful tips for making the life stress free. A session on "Human Values" and their importance in developing harmonious atmosphere in a community was conducted by Wani Gupta, Assistant Professor, YCET. A thought provoking session on "campus to Cooperate" was conducted by Aditya Parimoo, alumni of IMS, presently Asstt. Manager, Times of India, Jammu office. This was followed by an interactive session by Er. Nidhi Singh Jamwal, Administrative Secretary, JGEI.
Organising "Sports and Display your Talent" was the main attraction of the event. The programme was concluded with "Oath Ceremony" by the students. Dr. Archana Sharma, Garima Kohli, Bindu Koul, Rahul Gupta and Dr. Purnima Bakshi, Assistant Professors of IMS, assisted by other members of faculty and staff of IMS, were the main organizers of the Induction Programme. Er. Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Trustee, Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman & Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director congratulated the staff & students for the successful accomplishment of Induction Programme.
