Day after he was shifted, SP Kishtwar ordered mass transfers of SPOs

srinagar, Aug 9: The controversial Superintendent Police, Kishtwar, who was transferred on Monday, issued mass scale transfer orders of lower rank constabulary and Special Police Officers (SPOs) a day after his transfer, raising eyebrows in the department as well as among the general public of Kishtwar.
The outgoing SP, Abrar Chowdhary, issued various transfer orders, a copy of few among them is available with Early Times. These orders include that of transfers and adjustment of 40 SPOs in various police posts of the district vide order No. SPO/Dep/2018/10591-95, dated 7-08-2018.
In order No. Est/Tfr/18/10554-60, five cops including SGCT Masood Ahmed (211/Ktr) has been posted as MC at PP Kuleed; SGCT Bal Krishan (844/Ktr) has been adjusted in PP Kuleed; Ct. Ahrar Ahmed (281/Ktr) has been posted as driver with SDPO Atholi; Ct. Javed Iqbal (317/Ktr) has been adjusted in PP Kuleed; and Ct. Susheel Kumar has been posted in the office of Additional SP Kishtwar, all from District Police Line Kishtwar.
In order No. Est/Tfr/18/10579-90, HC Bilal Ahmed (46/Ktr) has been transferred from P/S warvan to DPL Kishtwar, HC Mohammad Ramzan (51/Ktr) fromPP Jawalapur to PS Dachhan as IHC, SGCT Akther Hussain (345/Ktr) from PS Chatroo to Dak Banglow Guard Kishtwar, SGCT Ajaz Ahmed from DPL to R/G with PDP MLC Firdous Ahmed Tak, SGCT Tariq Hussain (499/Ktr) from PP Hidyal to Equipment Store DPL Kishtwar, SGCT Firdous Ahmed (305/Ktr) from DPL Kishtwar to PP Sarthal as MC and Ct. Mohammad Aslam (376/Ktr) from DPL Kishtwar to PS Chatroo.
As per police sources, beside these orders, several transfer orders were also issued by the controversial SP who was transferred by the government over allegations of corruption charges leveled against him by several people including by the family members of one Javed Iqbal Malik, who died in police custody.
Meanwhile several people have expressed their gratitude to the government for removing the controversial SP Kishtwar whose services were marked by the custodial killing of a non-state subject while he was posted as SHO on probation in Ganghal, followed by allegations of patronizing the bovine smuggling during his posting in Samba.
Even majority of the police personnel posted in Kishtwar have heaved a sign of relief due to transfer of SP Kishtwar and urged upon the government and the administration to set up an inquiry into the functioning of SP Office Kishtwar during the tenure of outgoing SP Abrar Chowdhary.
