Locals demand removal of rude JE
8/14/2018 11:23:59 PM
Early Times Report

Reasi, Aug 14: Reasi administration today had to face tough time as nearly 300 people blocked the Zero Morh after their houses suffered damages in the floods by rains and thunderstorm. The Blockade of the road led to the disruption of the traffic movement particularly of the pilgrims bound for Shiv Khori. The pilgrims, who were stranded due to blockage in hot and humid conditions also got infuriated and raised voice against the Reasi administration. Later when Divisional Engineer PWD Reasi visited the spot and gave assurance , the protesters removed the blockade. When JE PWD reached the spot with a JCB to clear of the water logging in the area, the locals pleaded the JE to divert a nallah running along their houses which could save them from the trouble, but residents alleged that the JE was rude to them and especially with the women folk. However the Divisional Engineer assured the mob that the cognizance of the matter will be taken. The locals have requested the administration to remove the high-headed JE from Reasi and in his place post a person who could attend to the grievance of the people.
