The party said that Shabir was Constituency President & IT Social Media in-charge Pulwama. The party said that militants must realize that they cannot stop the youth of the valley from choosing a better future for themselves.
BJP State President Ravinder Raina said that the killers of Shabir have no religion and respect for Eid ul Azha as this festival spreads love and peace not hatred.
State General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul said that while everybody is busy with Eid celebrations, Bhat's family in Pulwama is in a state of shock and grief crying for their beloved. He demanded strict action against such 'ill' elements that are spoiling peace in valley and killing 'innocent' people on regular intervals.
In the morning militants in Kulgam fired at constable Fayaz Ahmed Shah son of Abdul Rehman Shah who was on leave and had gone to offer Eid prayer. He died on spot. Fayaz was aged about 34 years and was a resident of Zazripora-Kulgam. He is survived by two minor daughters aged five and two years, wife and an aged mother.
