Revenue officials of Nagrota make hundreds of mutations

Jammu, Aug 22: Throwing the rulebooks into bin, the staff of Revenue Department in Nagrota tehsil have made thousands of mutations in violation of J&K Land Revenue Act since 2010.
Sources informed Early Times that data clearly speaks through the information provided by Revenue Department that Revenue Officials of Nagrota attested several illegal mutations by violations of Land Revenue Act under section like 121, LB6/C, S432 , 254/C.
They further said that the entire scandal has been forwarded to Governor, though JKGrievance Cell. "At least 14 mutations vide number 1304, 1324, 1328, 1422, 1424, 1460, 1461, 1462, 1463, 1468, 1471, 1471, 1487 and 1408 during said period have been made in Jagti village of Tehsil Nagrota, are made by the Revenue officials," said sources
They said that in village Kamini of the Tehsil three mutations vide numbers 9/2, 27/2 and 27/2.
"In village Seri Kalan mutation number 493, in village Bhambyal 711 and 760 in violation", sources disclosed. "In village Marh mutation 467, in village Drabi 17, in village Dhung 303, in village Nagrota mutation numbers 312, 374 and 376. In village Sitni mutations number 43 and 41. In village Khanpur mutation number 898, in village Dhammi mutation numbers 637 and 659", they claimed.
"These are the some details of illegal mutations which attested by violation of rule and regulation of Land Revenue Act", sources said and added that a high level probe is required unearth unholy practices prevailed in the department.
"It is not an isolated case where rules have been violated, it is common practice is being done by Revenue officials everywhere", he said and added that also issue order to stop of Fard-e-Intkhab and construction on these lands till a detailed enquiry not is completed.
