Salal Power Station organizes Swachhta awareness program

Reasi, Aug 23: Salal Power Station organised an awareness program on 'Swachh Bharat Mission' in Village Bidda, Reasi as part of 'Swachh Bharat Pakhwara' being observed by Salal Power Station from 16.08.2018 to 31.08.2018. The program constituted awareness lectures by the Officers of Salal Power Station on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan with special focus on 'Open Defecation Free Movement in India'. The Programme also constituted Installation of Dustbins. A number of people including school children and ladies participated in the Program.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Dheeraj Sharma and Dr. P.L.Sharma appealed the gathering to contribute and participate actively in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched by Prime Minister of India for cleanliness of their village. The officers reminded PM's appeal to the gathering for devoting a minimum of two hours a week towards cleanliness. Speaking about ODF Movement, Dr. Dheeraj said that the movement has gained considerable momentum with the support of Government and people at large have come to realise the benefits of toilets.
The locals thanked Salal Power Station for installing dustbins and organising the program in their village .
