BFDC hails appointment of Malik as new Governor

JAMMU, Aug 23: Bahu Fort Development Committee, Jammu & Kashmir, welcomed the appointment of Satya Pal Malik as new Governor of J&K, saying that it was a good step by the Centre and also hope that there long pending demand for the constitution of Shrine Board will be addressed on merits.
In a press statement issued here today, BFDC Spokesperson Adv. Ishant Gupta said that the things will change for the better as if we go through the life history of Satya Pal Malik who was born on 25 December 1946, has held many important positions in both the Centre and the state, he is an advocate and a former lawmaker and BJP's National Vice President. The 71-year-old has been a Member of the Rajya Sabha twice from 1980-89 and Member of Lok Sabha from 1989 to 1991. He had been appointed Governor of Bihar in September last year; he served as Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Tourism in 1990. Gupta said that keeping in view the whole life experience of Malik, we hope high that he will definitely take our state to new heights. He added that it was a very good move by the President of India for the betterment of State. He further added that Malik's appointment at this time clearly indicated that his services would be utilized for reaching out to new heights and masses.
