| Influential Babu manages his wife's posting in AIDS Control Society | | Govt directive trashed | | Early Times Report
srinagar, Aug 24: Despite government directives for repatriation of officials to their parent departments, many influential officials continue to manage deputation on their choice postings.
One such glaring example is a BUMS doctor of ISM, who has managed her posting at JK Aids Control Society through her husband, who is former DG ISM and incumbent Food Commissioner,.
A source in Aids Control Society said that she has been posted there since December last year when her husband was DG ISM. "Her job is to treat patients but she has been posted in administration here. Even she is being picked up and dropped by a government vehicle," the source said.
The former DG ISM is facing investigation in allegations of huge financial fraud and irregularities, but despite that influential bureaucrat is holding multiple charges and managed deputation of his wife.
Similarly, an influential teacher has been deputed as Assistant Tourist Officer in the Tourism Department. The said teacher was deputed to the Tourism Department when Chief Minister was holding the charge of Ministry of Tourism. Sources said that the teacher is close to some politicians, who managed his coveted posting.
Earlier, the General Administration Department (GAD) order issued on June 22 has repatriated officials belonging to J&K Secretariat (Gazetted) Service; officers belonging to the HOD cadre; Class-IV officials belonging to the J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service; Class-IV employees of different PSUs and HODs otherwise attached with the GAD; Class-IV employees belonging to the various Heads of the Departments, Offices, Corporations and persons engaged by the GAD on contract to work in the personal section of the former ministers. |
