FEAED observes one day mass casual leave

Jammu, Aug 25: J&K Field Employees Association of Election Departments observed one day mass casual leave across the state. At Jammu a dharna was organized at Exhibition grounds Jammu in which employees from Jammu and its adjoining districts participated and demonstrated against the Government in support of their demands including appointment of separate State Election Commission having separate office and staff for conduct of Local Bodies Election as are existing in other states.
They said that the Election Commission Staff conduct only Assembly and Parliamentary Elections, creation of post of Tehsildar Election at District level as existing in other states, Provide 14 officials at DEO Level ,6 officials at ERO and 2 officials at AERO level as per the mandate of Election Commission of India, Remove pay anomalies of Election Naib Tehsildars, Election Asstt. ( Sr.Scale) and Election Asstt.(Jr. Scale) at par with the Naib Tehsildar, Girdawar and Patwari of Revenue Department, Conduct DPC to fill the posts of Election Asstt. Sr. Scale, Revoke down grading of sanctioned posts of Election Asstt. Sr. Scale, post of Asstt. CEO should be filled from the field staff and not on deputation basis. 8. Consider 75% department quota for promotion of Dy. DEOs. 9. Regulate office timing from 10 A.M to 5 P.M and stop forcing to work overtime, Sunday /Holidays.
