Div Com reviews total electrification programmes under implementation by PDD

JAMMU, Aug 25: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today chaired a meeting of senior officers to review the total electrification programmes under implementation by PDD in Jammu division.
The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer, M&RE, Sudhir Gupta, Chief Engineer, S&O Projects PDD, Avinash Dubey, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar and all Deputy Commissioner's along with Executive Engineers through video conference besides senior functionaries of concerned department.
The DCs briefed the Div Com about the status of electrification programmes in their respective districts. They informed that the work on providing electricity to every household under various schemes including SAUBHAGYA, DDUGJY and others is in full swing.
The meeting was further informed about the total electrified and unelectrified households in the districts and action plan to complete the electrification programmes was also discussed.
The Div Com directed all the DC's to monitor the work and hold regular meetings to review the status of the ongoing schemes and programmes.
The concerned Executive Engineers informed the Div Com about the work being done by them so far and also apprised about the requirement of poles, conductors and other material. The Div Com asked the Chief Engineers to provide necessary material to concerned officers to provide electricity to every household.
The Div Com also called for utilizing available resources as per the requirements besides removing bottlenecks if any, hampering these projects. He laid stress on maintaining financial discipline by utilizing funds in appropriate manner.
Emphasizing on quality work and timely completion of electrification programmes and schemes, the Divisional Commissioner exhorted upon the executing agencies to speed up the pace of progress on ongoing schemes for providing early benefits to the people. He directed the concerned departments to work in synergy and ensure regular monitoring of the electrification programmes besides adhering to quality norms. He called for having proper coordination which is vital for expediting the pace of development works.
