Jammu, Aug 25: Atul Kumar Gupta President -All J&K Chess Association and Chairman said that Senior National Chess Championship-2018, the biggest in Indian history with two A and B Nationals clubbed for the first time is going to be organized in Jammu from 08-18 December, 2018 at Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, NH, Channi Himmat Bye Pass Jammu.
Total Cash Prize fund is Rs.20 Lacs with 1st prize of Rs.5. Lacs, 2nd Rs. 4 lacs, 3rd Rs. 3 Lacs, 4th Rs. 2 Lacs, 5th Rs.1.50 Lacs, 6th Rs.1 Lacs, 7th Rs. I Lacs, 8t1' Rs. I Lacs 9th Rs. 75000 and 10th Rs. 75000/-.
About 300 selected players and officials from almost all the states of India are expected to participate in it. Out of total 300 about 150 International players including many Grandmasters and International masters will participate in it.All the states can field 4 entries each while host J&k will be allowed additional 4 entries. Besides selected players all Greand Masters, International Masters and Women Grandmasters and world and asian champions and other top players as decided by AICF can participate as seeded entries. Players whose FIDE rating is above 2000 only can apply as a donor entry. Winners from this event will represent India in various forthcoming international events. |
