Pro-freedom slogans were raised by the protesters during a march called to support Article 35-A in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.
Reports said that around 600 people took part in the protest march called by the local National Conference legislator Javed Rana. While calling for retention of Article 35-A, the protesters raised pro-freedom slogans in the main town.
The Supreme Court is likely to hear a bunch of petitions challenging the constitutional validity of Article 35-A on August 31. |
