One Day Workshop on 'Specially Abled Persons: Issues And Challenges' Organized

Jammu, Aug 27: The Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (CSSEIP), today organized one day workshop on the theme 'Specially Abled Persons: Issues And Challenges', to 'Make Inclusion a Priority with Specially Abled Persons' on 27th of August' 2018. The main objective of the workshop was to document the problems and challenges faced by specially abled persons especially in academics and employment awareness regarding facilities provided by University of Jammu and review of existing policies for such persons.
The workshop was designed for a range of audiences including governing bodies, NGOs, University officers, volunteers, researchers, specially abled students and specially abled gems who against the tide worked hard & reached to their goals.
CSSEIP facilitated Mr. Surinder Raina, S. Chandeep Singh Sudan, Deepak Raina and Ms. Shivani for their incredible success besides being specially abled.
Prof. Neeru Sharma, Chairperson, Campus Post Committee, Department of Home Science University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
Prof. Jasbir Singh, Director CSSEIP formally welcomed the guests. Formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Neharica Subash and workshop was coordinated by Dr. Archana Bhat.
The centre for study of social exclusion and inclusive policy effort to create a platform through this workshop to find the possible strategies for creating the best possible opportunities for people with disabilities especially in academics to fulfill their potential & making them a major part of inclusive policy.
