PIL filed for constitution of Shrine Board in Machail Mata
8/28/2018 10:39:27 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 28: A Public Interest Litigation has been filed by a Practicing advocate Ajay Kumar Sharma hailing from Kishtwar for constitution of Shrine Board at Machial Mata and for constituting a Special Investigation Team to look into the financial irregularities and assets of the Sarv Shakti Sevak Sanstha.
In the Petition it was alleged that the management looking after the affairs of Machial Mata shrine i.e Sarv Shakti Sevak Sanstha as well as the Sarv Shakti Shree Chandi Mata Mandir, Pacca Danga had involved in the scuffle to gain control of the management of Holy shrine.
Few days back when Charri mubarak had reached the holy shrine, both the groups attacked each other and the devotees were not allowed to perform the religious offerings.
Petitioner further alleged that this enmity is costing the Hindu community at large and is denting the image of the community throughout the world.
Peitioner alleged that the Government had turned mute spectators and had not initiated any steps to set the house in order.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the number of devotees are increasing with each passing year and this year alone till date 2.50 lakhs devotees had visited the shrine and paid obeisance at the shrine and thus the donations and offerings are in crores and there is no audit or financial check over the same. On the other hand despite of so much offerings and donations the development is going on at snail's pace and because of which the devotees have face great hardships. The Petition stands filed before the High court with the prayer to establish a shrine board which will look after the affairs and management of the shrine and further requested to constitute a SIT to look into the financial irregularities if any.
