Sports week concludes at GHS Pouni

POUNI, Aug 29: Sports week concludes at GHS Pouni in which Students and teachers actively participated in the various events viz. poster making on Khelo India, debates, recreational games to mark the National Sports Day.
Tehsildar Pouni Rajesh Baru was the chief guest in the valedictory session wherein prizes were distributed among the participants in presence of Gopal Sharma ZEO Pouni and Vaishno Devi HM GHS Pouni.
Earlier,Sanjeev Kumar Sharma Teacher (Coordinator Khelo India Pouni) presented the report of week long Sports awareness activities across the schools of block Pouni and assured for mass participation in forthcoming Khelo India block and Distt Level sports programs beside focussing on the contributions of Maj Dyan Chand in Olympics along with the significance of National Sports day.
Earlier, Chief guest along with guests presented floral tributes to the Hockey legend Maj Dyan Chand to which National Sports Day is associated and asked the girl students to actively participate in physical activities to achieve the aims and objectives of Khelo India scheme.
Anju Devi of Class 10th lifts the Title of Power Girl of GHS Pouni by overpowering tough contestants for which She was decorated with the tricolour band by the chief guest .
At the end, Sports Rally was also flagged off by the dignitaries which passed through the main market with khelo India slogans inspiring the spectators and culminates at GHSS Pouni where Inderjeet Devi Principal GHSS Pouni along with staff and students interacted with the participants and applauded their initiative of mass khelo india awareness among community members.
