Jammu Sanskriti School celebrates Investiture ceremony

JAMMU, Aug 31: Jammu Sanskriti School celebrated Investiture Ceremony and student council was sworn in on Friday 31st August, amidst an air of enthusiasm and anticipation. After a traditional welcome, the school choir set the tone for the programme through a melodious song. The Principal cum Vice-Chairperson Rohini Aima introduced chief guest for the day Ramesh Kumar Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Guests of honour, Gopal Tehsildar, Bishnah and Sushil Kumar Naib-Tehsildar, Bishnah. She further expressed her gratitude to the parents for gracing the occasion with their presence and went on to motivate the new leaders with suitable words of encouragement.
The programme began with a beautiful vandana which was a combination of faith and love towards Nation and God. Chief Guest, Chairperson of the school, Principal cum Vice-Chairperson and Parents of the student council handed over badges and sachets to the newly elected student council. The council was elected by mandate of school students, staff members and the Principal by an appropriate election procedure under the supervision of senior coordinator and staff. This year council comprises of Sujal gupta (Head boy), Rohini Sharma (Head Girl), Nitish Magotra (Vice-head boy), Riya Salaria (Vice Head girl), Devinder Singh (CCA Captain Boy), Priyanka Sangral (CCA Captain Girl), Muskaan Chib (Sports captain girl) and Khushboo (Vice sports captain girl), Gurdeep (Vice Sports captain boy), house captain of 4-Houses: Wisdom - Raghav and Gursheen, Passion - Himanshu and Manpreet, Harmony - Aastha and Ridham, Optimism - Wasim and Komal. Chief Guest commended the efforts of principal, staff and students and encouraged them to achieve the ultimate and do their best in all their future endeavours.
The vibrant show was marvellously splendid with cultural events which include group song and group dance. The exuberant girls in dazzling Haryanvi costumes presented a dance on the song 'Odni Pittl Ki'. New head girl of the school Rohini Sharma on behalf of Jammu Sanskriti School family extended gratitude and vote of thanks to distinguished chief guests Ramesh Kumar (IAS DC, Jammu), Special guests Gopal Tehsildar, Bishnah and Sushil Kumar Naib-Tehsildar, Bishnah who gave their precious time on the solemn occasion.
