| Misrules in MGNREGA, SDRF, 14FC embezzled funds | | RDD scams | | Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, Aug 31: The people of Poonch have accused the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Poonch of misuse of funds under MGNREGA, 14thFC, SDRF, SBM and other state and state sponsored governments schemes.
Sources informed that, although public has paid money in the form of commission to officers/officials of the department but after taking bribes most of them have managed their transfers to another places to loot poor masses there as well.
They informed that GRSs, VLWs, JEs, even BDOs directly or indirectly have taken the commission from locals of the different areas and people are still waiting for their payments.
A local said that locals from different areas of Poonch have informed him that employees of RDD have taken rupees 2000 from every ration card holder instead of giving him toilet under SBM scheme. What is the commission in RDD and what is its fixed percentage? he questioned. He further said, locals have informed him that employees of RDD are taking 25% of the total amount of the work from MGNREGA workers. Locals have appealed newly appointed governor to conduct an inquiry into the matter. |
