Pak stooges get ready to sabotage Panchayat, Municipal polls in Kashmir
Hizbul commander threatens to attack candidates with Sulphuric acid
9/1/2018 10:49:12 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 1: The State Administrative Council announcing the schedule for the Municipal and Panchayat polls in Jammu and Kashmir has once again activated the Pakistan stooges present in the Valley.
The separatists have started issuing statement asking people to stay away from the poll process and they (Pak stooges) enjoy complete backing of terror outfits.
Recently the self styled commander of Hizbul-Mujahideen Riyaz Naikoo had warned the people of dire consequences if they take part in the Panchayat and local bodies polls. He had threatened of attacking them with Sulphuric acid and with bullets. "Get a shroud along with the election form," Naikoo was heard as having said in a video clip that went viral on the social networking sites.
On the other hand Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani has already taken a lead by asking people to boycott the upcoming polls and stay away from the process. "Separatists are trying to activate their men to run the poll boycott campaign across the Valley. They know it very well the upcoming polls for local bodies have provided them with a chance to once again push Kashmir on the edge. They want to appease their bosses sitting across the Line of Control. They are least bothered about the common Kashmiri, who is nothing more than a cannon fodder for them," said an analyst.
He said, 'In coming days there is every possibility about political workers being targeted by the terrorists to create fear psychosis among the people. A common Kashmir should understand that separatists and terrorists are not their friends and their only aim to disrupt the normal life in the Valley."
A politician said, "It would be difficult for us to motivate our workers to come forward and contest the forth coming polls, especially in south Kashmir. Terrorists have unleashed terror in a few districts of south Kashmir and are calling the shots. I don't think that anyone would like to put his life at stake."
He said that Panchayat polls not being held for so many years have led to development process coming to a halt in the rural areas. "The people who are pursuing Pakistan's agenda want Kashmir to remain backward forever and for establishing their writ they won't even mind killing a few people," the politician added.
A top police official said, "We know conducting Panchayat and Municipal polls is not going to be an easy task. But we are prepared to tackle the terrorists and their sympathizers."
