Search operation called off after day long searches

Rajouri, Sept 4: Nowshera police in collaboration with SOG team and soldiers of Gorkha unit conducted a day long searches in and around Langer village and Nowshera sub districts after some locals spotted unidentified persons reportedly carrying weapons. It was a third search operation in the sub district during last 7 days after some students had spotted the movement of 4-5 armed suspicious persons in Langer village. "Immediately after information was received by the police a search operation was launched in the targeted area at about 11.30 am and the entire area was cordoned off" said Master Popsy, ASP, Nowshera. The search was also joined by the army and the eyewitnesses were also called on the spot to identify the place where the suspected persons were spotted.
Being covered by high bushes, and maize fields it was very difficult to notice any movement at a distance about 10-15 metres and despite that the entire area was searched but without any result" said police sources.
"After day long search the operation was called off at about 7 pm without any success" said ASP.
Pertinently on August 28 and 30 search and destroy operations were launched in Kharali village after the locals have spotted armed persons twice in the village but after day long searches no contact was established.
