JP world organizes debate competition

JAMMU, Sept 4: JP World School organized 'Vaad Vivaad Pratiyogita' for the students, in which students from class 5 to 10 took part.
The debate competition comprised of three categories which were divided according to the age group of the students. The students faced each other head to head with words and reasons in their respective categories with great wit and zeal.
The participants debated on the burning issues of the contemporary times.
The battle of wits between the students was on the revocation of Article 35-A in J&K state, role of e-commerce, and the role of advertisements in sharing information.
In the first category, Madhvan secured the first position whereas Samya and Urwa got the second and the third postion respectively.
In the second category, Aiman bagged the first position whereas Jasleen and Hasnain secured the second and third position respectively. In the third category, Manyata got the first position whereas Amreshwar and Vanshika got the second and third position respectively.
The interjectors made the competition more challenging by critically analyzing the topics and questioning the debaters. Divyansh, Jayant and Wasif from first, second and third category respectively were the interjectors who stood first.
The competition was organized by Hindi Department of the school wherein Rekha, Balwinder and Seema coordinated the event. The members of the jury included Dinesh Thappa, Judishna, Seema Salaria.
The Chief Guest of the event was JS Hundal, Principal of the school. At the end of the competition, the Principal in his pep talk appreciated the participants and encouraged all the students to take more and more part in such events.
He also congratulated the winners and the organizers of the event.
