UDHAMPUR, Sept 5: After staying for over a year at prize posting at Police Station on the national highway as Station House Officer (SHO), an Inspector of police is leaving no stone unturned to again get some prize posting in Udhampur district.
The journey of this Inspector started from police station along national highway to another police station near a famous tourist place to Dhar road police station.
While at Dhar Road police station this officer found the Police Station less lucrative and far away from the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, he using his political links with a BJP MLA who is presently very influential, managed transfer to another police station which is very much at Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and consequently more 'lucrative'.
A retired police officer told ET that such officers were bringing a bad name to the police department where many martyrs have laid their lives to maintain integrity of the profession. |
