Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 9: Thriving on the stay order granted to him against his transfer order, an officer of the district administration Reasi has been accused of working with an agenda to suit his political aspirations that he has been fostering for his innings post retirement. Sources said that an officer of the rank of Additional DC has been working with a specific agenda to appease a particular class of society so that he could convert the favours extended to it as government officer into vote bank once he attained superannuation and pursued his political aspirations. "Following specific complaints against him, he was transferred from the current place of posting, but he managed a stay against the government order and started pursuing his agenda with greater vengeance" said a resident adding that while he was using his office to appease a particular class of society, he was deliberately creating hindrances in the genuine works of others and even demanding illegal favours in exchange. It is pertinent to mention here that the Chief justice of the state high court had expressed dismay that the state government had not cared to get the stays granted against its orders in various cases vacated for years hinting at the criminal nexus of accused officers with the prosecution that slept over such cases.
The locals have appealed to the Governor administration to take note of the discriminatory working of the officer in question and get the stay managed by him on his transfer order vacated at the earliest to restore justice to the people of the district.
