On the basis of the complaint filed by these non local labourers and masons, DC Kishtwar vide letter No. DCK/PS/18/1912 Dated 10-09-2018 directed SSP Kishtwar to take action against the culprits under law to redress the grievances of the applicant under intimation to his office so that conducive environment of law and order is also maintained.
Speaking to ET, these non local labourers and masons said that they were living in Kishtwar District for last several years and are now being forced to stop working in case they did not toe the line of the local union leaders.
They said that the local union leaders are pressurizing them to get themselves registered with them by way of providing Aadhaar cards and Rs. 100 as registration fee. They said that they are not ready to give any ADHAAR cards or any other documents to them and want to work the way they are working since last many years.
