Challan produced against then Tehsildar in trap case

Kishtwar, Sept 10: Vigilance Organization Jammu has produced Challan against Shri Irshad Ahmed Butt the then Tehsildar Kishtwar) S/O Ghulam Nabi R/O Dool Kishtwar at present H.No.76, Ward No.11, Kishtwar before the court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Doda in case FIR No.40/2017 P/S VOJ 5 (1) (d) read with section 5 (2) J&K P.C. Act Svt. 2006 and Sec.4-A PC Act (Amendment 2014) P/S VOJ.
Brief facts of the case are that on 06.10.2017 a communication bearing No. Dy.SP/ UDKR/2017/Camp-DBD-02/VOJ dated 06.10.2017 along with complaint lodged by the complainant namely Farooq Ahmed Kripak S/O Abdul Rashid Kripak R/O Village Keshwan Tehsil & District Kishwar was received in P/S VOJ through fax from Dy.SP UDKR VOJ camp Doda for further necessary action. On perusal of the contents of the complaint, the complainant has alleged that he had approached Patwari Halqa keshwan for processing the RBA certificates case of his wards for which the Patwari Halqa keshwan demanded Rs. 5000/- from him, but being a poor he denied to pay him such a huge amount and on this the concerned Patwari Halqa reflected the income of complainant as Rs.40000/- per month which was very much higher than his actual income. In this regard, the complainant approached Tehsildar Kishtwar namely Irshad Ahmed Butt who verified the income of the complainant and found the less income of the complainant than reflected by the Patwari. Further, the complainant has alleged in the complaint that the Tehsildar kishtwar Irshad Ahmed Butt demanded Rs.7000/- from him for preparing his less income certificate. After obtaining the sanction from the competent authority the Challan of the case has been produced against the accused Tehsildar in the competent trial Court for judicial determination. Next date of hearing in the case has been fixed for 24.09.2018.
