Shiromani Akali Dal criticizes sacrilegious act
9/12/2018 9:30:41 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 12: Shiromani Akali Dal J&K office bearers Sudershan Singh Wazir, Chairman J&K Sikh United Front have condemned the sacrilegious acts of Akali Dal Badal and its government in Punjab which also resulted into the killings of 2 youth in Bargari and other incidents of violence in Behbalkalan.
Wazir lambasted the Badals and their Akali Dal for betraying the ethos of Sikhism while indulging into a conspiracy with Gurmeet Ram Rahim of Sacha Sauda to create a situation in Punjab by denigrating and insulting the sanctity of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in order to garner few votes during last assembly elections held in Punjab.
Wazir further said that Akalis in Punjab stand exposed badly before the eyes of Sikhs all over the world and their nefarious designs are before the public . Justice Ranjit singh Commission report which has been presented in the Punjab legislature has clearly indicated not only the Badals but Jathedar Akal Takht as well .
Wazir also gave a detailed account of how the sacred seat of Akal Takht has been blemished by Badals and their ilk, by using the Jathedars of Sri Akal Takht Sahib for their petty political and personal interests.
He said that there was a time when the then Jathedar Akali Phoola Singh , during Maharaja Ranjit Singh's regime summoned Maharaja Ranjit Singh to Akal Takht and punished him for certain anti - panthak acts and Maharaja Ranjit Singh was given not only lashes but was also asked to perform Sewa which Maharaja received and accomplished with humility and grace.
