Jammu, Sept 12: The so-called deadwood bureaucrats and officials were not only reinstated respectfully, many of them bagged choicest posts on their return to the Civil Secretariat and other offices.
The list of the officials earlier declared 'deadwood' but later reinstated honourably is too long to be mentioned here. It even includes some KAS officials, and many senior engineers. The Mehbooba Mufti government did not deem it fit to challenge their reinstatement in the high court.
"By honourably reinstating these corrupt officials, Mehbooba Mufti actually institutionalised corruption. The anti-graft bodies like Vigilance Organisation never felt so demoralised as during Mehbooba's tenure. She will not be forgiven for that," said a former Vigilance official. |
