| Early Times Report jammu, Sept 15: To inculcate the value and importance of Sanskrit among students, Regional level Sanskrit day is being celebrated at KV Sunjuwan. The day is aimed at promoting and reviving the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit. About 700 students from 28 Kendriya Vidyalaya's of Jammu Region participated with full vigour. Deputy commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Jammu region Siri Mala Sambanna was the chief guest. The programme began with the lighting of lamp by chief guest followed by melodious chanting of hymns in Sanskrit. The day is marked by various competitions i.e. Group song, Sanskrit quiz, essay writing competition, skit, Shloka recitation and Story telling by power point presentation. VP. Sharma (T.G.T. Sanskrit) of KV Sunjuwan coordinated the whole programme. Munish Tuli principal of KV Sunjuwan showered his propitious blessings on the audience with his sacred welcome address in Sanskrit. The chief guest Siri Mala Sambanna who graced the occasion gave a thought provoking message highly encouraging the spirit of the entire Sanskrit community. In his speech he maintained that Sanskrit is the most ancient of all languages in the world. It is the mother of all Indian languages. Its mystic power is capable of inspiring the entire mankind through generations. Vote of thanks was presented by Rakesh KumarDharDubey(vice principal) of KV Sunjuwan. He throws light upon the value of Sanskrit as an important language and how it is linked with all other languages of the world. |
