Grameen Bank conducts "Swachh Bharat Mission-Swachhata Hi Seva" campaign

Jammu, Sept 17: J&K Grameen Bank has conducted GOI campaign "Swachh Bharat Mission-Swachhata Hi Seva" at different villages of district Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, Kathua, Samba, Bandipora, Baramulla and Kupwara.
Financial Inclusion and Insurance Department under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural and with collabartion of NABARD has conducted Govt of India campaign on the theme of "Swachh Bharat Mission-Swachhata Hi Seva" at different remote village of different districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
Janak Raj Angural, Chairman J&K Grameen Bank today announced his participation in the 4th anniversary of Swachh Bharat Mission by honourable Prime Minister of India Sh. Narinder Modi on the theme of "Swachhata Hi Seva" "Aao Bharat Swachh Banayen" because "Safai Me Hi Bhalai He".
Speaking on the occasion Janak Raj Angural said that he is delighted to be a part of national mission and to participate in Swachh Bharat Mission. He added that every branch of J&K Grameen bank will aware people about sanitation and hygiene, which can only be achieved by making surroundings clean and green. To realize the dream of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Staff members of J&K Grameen Bank took a pledge to clean their surroundings which includes office complex as well as residential and related areas.
Vipan Gupta, HOD, Financial Inclusion and insurance Department, J&K Grameen Bank, said that the every branch of J&K Grameen bank will conduct a awareness camp in their respective villages from 15th september 2018 to 2nd october2018 in which they will aware the people about why to keep their surroundings clean and how to make better sanitation practices like using a toilet, handwashing, health and hygiene awareness etc. They will also organize cleaning of streets, drains and back alleys through awareness drives and also organize waste collection drives in households and common or shared spaces.
Romesh Vaid, General Manager J&K Grameen Bank, said that cleanliness is next to Godliness and with this mission we must keep our homes and surroundings clean to lead a healthy life. He also said that there is a lot to be done and that can be achieved only when people participate in such movements wholeheartedly.
He added that our 30 branches have conducted camps in last two days and today 17 branches have conducted the swachhata campaign namely Ashitongo, Khanpeth, Ogmuna, Botingo, Chowkibal,Kralpora, Tarathpora, Samba, Ro Kathua/samba, Bishnah, Brijnagar, Kanhal, Nagrota, Shakti nagar, Ro Rajouri/Poonch, Devak and Darhal.
